Transitional Housing

Hope House

We believe there is a need in our community for a distinctly Christian response to the issue of housing for women and families desiring to end violence in relationships. Government funded programs to assist domestic violence victims are not equipped to meet the unique spiritual needs of families effected by violence. Restructuring abusive relationships requires safe affordable housing for temporary or permanent separation. Lack of such housing means women and their children must either live in substandard conditions or return to their abusers. Hope House provides a stable, safe place for families to transition to violence free living during a 3 to 18 month stay.

Women who reside at Hope House will receive counseling and support so that they can gain:

  • A greater realization that God is their true refuge from the turmoil and violence in their lives
  • A hope that is centered in God
  • The assurance that they are not alone
  • Financial stability through employment
  • Permanent housing
  • Emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual healing from the trauma of abuse
  • An understanding of how valuable they are to God
